Lucy was born the eldest child in 1973 in Solihull, a suburb of Birmingham in February 1973 to Robert and Hazel Davis.
From an early age Lucy aspired to be an actress and her first taste of the spotlight was when she appeared in her school's production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Much of her youth was spent at the Birmingham Youth Theatre and trying to convince her sisters to act in her home movies. After completing school, Lucy enrolled in the very prestigious Italia Conti Stage School, but left after only a year to take on her career her own way. In 1995, she made her television debut as Maria Lucas in the BBC's remake of Pride and Prejudice along side Coin Firth and Julia Sawahla. From there came roles in Holby City, Murder in Mind, the children's series The Belfry Witches and one of her most famous roles as Haley in The Archers on BBC Radio. In 2001, Lucy joined the cast of The Office as Dawn Tinsley and from there jumped straight into one of the starring roles in the film Shaun of the Dead. She has since moved to Los Angeles and landed roles in the films Rag Tale, The Tv Set and guest starred on the ABC show Ugly Betty. Most recently she potrayed one of the staff writers on NBC's critically acclaimed show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. On December 9th, 2006 Lucy married fellow actor Owain Yeoman in a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Paul's Cathedral.
