By: Claire Moriarty As dreamy receptionist Dawn in The Office, she faced an excruciating wait to find love. But actress Lucy Davis has walked down the aisle with her new husband following a whirlwind romance of less than a year. The 32-year-old, who made her name in the BBC comedy, married Welsh actor Owain Yeoman at St Paul's Cathedral in London. Arriving in a black cab for the 2.30pm ceremony, the eldest daughter of millionaire comedian Jasper Carrott wore a sleeveless white dress. It was Carrott's OBE, awarded to him in 2002, that gave the couple the right to marry in St Paul's, which is normally reserved for Royal weddings. Among the congregation were Mackenzie Crook, who played Gareth in The Office, and Martin Freeman, who featured as Dawn's long-time love interest Tim. Ricky Gervais, Lucy's boss David Brent, was not at the service. Simon Pegg, who starred with Lucy in the film Shaun Of The Dead, was also one of the 300 guests who were bussed to the venue in red double-deckers. Carrott, who recently made more than £10million when he sold his stake in the company behind hit quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, said: "I'm very proud, there's a lot of time and effort gone into today." Carrott and RADA-trained Owain kissed the bride as they posed for photos outside the cathedral. For Lucy, who met Owain in Los Angeles after moving there to look for work, the lavish wedding marks a Christmas very different from the last. Lucy collapsed with suspected kidney failure on Christmas Day last year while visiting her family in Birmingham and was taken to hospital. It was thought that her three-stone weight loss after moving to Hollywood was behind the mystery illness - although the actress has struggled with poor health for a number of years. In 1997, she had a lifesaving kidney transplant, using a kidney donated by her mother Hazel. She was then diagnosed with diabetes. Lucy spent 11 years as nanny Hayley Tucker in Radio 4's The Archers before making her TV breakthrough in Pride And Prejudice. Her films include Shaun Of The Dead and the Garfield film with Bill Murray
